Meet & Greet: Amanda and Discover Pranic Healing

Amanda Connell

We recently invited Amanda Connell to tell us a little bit more about Discover Pranic Healing and their involvement in St. Andrew’s.

What do you do in St. Andrew’s?

We voluntarily offer donation based Pranic Healing Evenings where we teach people simple to use tools and techniques on how to relax and take care of themselves using meditation.

How can someone get involved?

Come along to one of our evenings. We meet on the first and third Monday of every month in St. Andrew’s hall 7.30pm to 9pm. These evenings are open to anyone over the age of 18 who doesn’t have intense heart trouble, glaucoma, kidney or liver illness. There is no cost but donations are welcome. To register in advance, you can email discoverpranichealing@gmail.com or ring/text 087 - 238 6849. We also have our own Facebook page - Discover Pranic Healing.

Tell us something more about yourself:

I’m a Pranic Healing therapist and instructor based in Dublin, with 15 years experience in Pranic Healing, delivering self-development programmes specifically designed for community based education as well as workshops and courses. I also have my private healing and well-being clinic in Dublin & Kildare.

Last but not least, have you an interesting or inspiring fact you would like to share with us:

I was part of a choir who travelled to the voices of the world in Rome during Easter ‘96. We had the privilege of singing during mass with pope John Paul II. I never really realised how special this was until recent years.

Thanks Amanda! On behalf of St. Andrew’s we would also like to acknowledge once again our gratitude to the Institute of Pranic Healing (via the Association of MCKS Charitable Foundation) for the generous donation of €8,000 in 2022. This funding allowed us to upgrade the doors and windows in the older people’s dining room from single-glazing to double-glazing.
